ABOUT ME
Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Riordan Wyatt and I am a young professional with a special love for all things España. I recently graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, AL where I studied Media & Marketing and Spanish. I took my first steps as an adult by moving to Madrid to work as an Auxiliar de Conversación (English Teaching Assistant). Through this position, I had the opportunity to live for a significant amount time in a foreign country, expand on my Spanish fluency, and gain a better understanding of my hopes and dreams for the future. Following my time in Madrid, I returned home and began working for a Veterinary start-up. Through my roles at SVP I have gained valuable skills including project management, process development, content strategy, and client communications, while also possessing excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and managing efficient management strategies. All in all, I am a fun, loving girl that is ready to take on any challenge and adventure! Movies have the ability to make all my days that much better, but to be more specific The Parent Trap and The Father of the Bride can always put an instant smile on my face. Books are my secret admirer that are often in need of love and nurturing because of my busy schedule. Dogs are my one true love forever and have been since I was a child. Golden Retrievers have been my best pals since I was two, and to this day they bring me pure happiness at first sight. Traveling is my true passion, I am constantly expanding to my list of must-see places. I love exploring and experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. One of the unique places I have explored is Morocco, but my favorite place has been Greece. I try to use all of these little things about me in order to make each day positive. No matter what the events of the day, as long as I have my favorite things everything can be great!

Senior Associate of Marketing Success - December 2020 - Present
In my current position, I created and manage the Marketing Support team that includes three account managers that support over 300 locations. I oversee over 30 projects per week involving: content strategy, content creation, client communications, social media, website development, paid ads, campaigns and promotions, etc.I implemented and created a new project management system for marketing support tickets that is used by over 500 teammates. I established marketing department systems for the branding of Denovo locations. I branded 5 new Denovo locations and managed over 15 marketing rebrand projects. I control the marketing onboarding process and maintain the online reputation for 300+ locations. Lastly I assisted in three company-wide platform launches and train teammates on marketing platforms and best practices.

In the position, I was given the opportunity to move to Spain and work as a teaching assistant in a secondary, public school. I conduct 16 classes per week in subjects including English, Biology, and Physical Education. I create weekly lessons and content to improve and facilitate conversation skills and proper english pronunciation.

Marketing Intern- April 2020 - Present
While working for Swell, I acted as their go-to girl for whatever was needed. I assisted in content creating, planned paid social campaigns, wrote and designed weekly blog posts for an array of companies, assisted with engagement for social media accounts, and created promotional videos. Through this position I was able to expand on my content creation skills and see clearly how marketing firms operate. It was eye-opening to develop skills working with multiple companies rather than only one.

My experience on the Student Programming Board allowed me to expand my leadership abilities, interact with multiple levels of staff and members, and utilize my interpersonal skills on a daily basis. Through this position, I coordinated large and small scale events for all of campus. It specifically spoke to my organized and creative personality and allowed me to challenge and expand those skills.

Although for only a brief period, my experience with Swoozie's allowed me to gain significant insight into the merchandising and marketing of a retail business. I had the opportunity to assist with all merchandising elements of the store, coordinate events, handle client correspondence, and assisted in the overall marketing and social media aspects of the individual Birmingham store.

My time at Signal Power and Light has offered my the opportunity to not only gain insight into a small business but also connect my knowledge of business and Spanish into one. My responsibilities included translating large documents discussing business laws and regulations. It is from this position that I have gained more business focused skills while expanding my language fluency in Spanish.

As the Brand Ambassador Intern, it was my responsibility to uphold the brand and present the brand to the public. I worked at great lengths to create new contacts and partnerships across the Southeast. By the end of internship, I had assisted in acquiring 25 new contacts and expanded the company to two new states. I also created a Brand Ambassador Program that allowed our company to reach out and directly correspond with social influencers in order to continue to expand and grow the brands presence in today's fashion world.

Through my time at Sidewalk I coordinated the official social media accounts as part of festival publicity, assisted in coordinating vendors and organized day of event planning, and lastly, I created a communication system that provided information to the public. This experience is not only one that provided with essential people and teamwork skills, but also is a cherished experience where I learned the beauty of giving back to something that gave me so much.

As Tour Guide, I provided potential students with their first true experience of the college and what they could expect in a college experience at Birmingham-Southern. I consistently worked with new people and new levels of staff of in the admission department. I acted as a representative for the college and a mentor for incoming and prospective students.
